Give away post #2 - Tweet Heart card (Free gypsy file)
Here is a card I create for a challenge that Robyn (My Pink Stamper) is having over at her blog. The challenge is to use the colors Green,Pink, and Black.
I created this cute little card. I don't have Create a Critter (by the way....Robyn is giving away a Create a Critter cartridge donated by Provo Craft to the winner of this challenge!) I used my Gypsy to create this cute little birdie using George and Basic Shapes, Gypsy Wanderings and Paisley. I also used TBBM for the big black tag.
To create this card I used:
Cardstock (I used Kiwi Kiss and Pixie Pink by Stampin Up! and some black scraps I had lying around...I believe it is Heritage by Doublemates)
Patterned Paper from Best of K & Company Too stack
Punchboard Alphas from Heidi Grace's Reagan's Closet collection
Ribbon from my stash :)
Googly eye
Black ink pad
Here is a link to my gypsy file for the little birdie:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/mgy0wz0wy1j/Little Birdie.gypsy
1.Cut your cardstock to 8 1/2" x 11"
2.Score and fold in half
3. Cut your patterned paper to 4" x 5 1/4"
4. Adhere patterned paper
5. Cut out your tag from your black cardstock and attach the punchboard alphas.
6. Add a little ribbon to the bottom of your tag (I used the cheater method and just taped it on the back side)
7. Attach your tag to your card. Do not put adhesive near the hole on your tag as you need to be able to slip your ribbon in and tie it.
8. For the bow, I started by tying one bow then I tied a knot and made another bow. Then, with the ends of the ribbon, I slipped them through the bottom of the bows to create two more loops. I trimmed off the excess and wallah. I like how it turned out :)
9 For the bird....cut out the pieces on your cricut. I used Basic Black in from Stampin' Up! and a sponge to add a little dimention to the edges of each piece. Then I attached the layers (wing and beak). I used a glue dot to attach the little googly eye. I used pop dots to pop him up off the card a tad. Then I glued his little legs under him so I could position them where I wanted. I did not attach them to the body as I wanted the dimension.

For todays addition to my giveaway I am adding a package of Kimberly Polosons Metal Pieces. I just love keys on projects!!!!!!

Blog Candy post #1
I have been looking for some good challenges with some good motivation and have found a great challenge site called Challenge Masters. So.....here is one of my projects I completed for a challenge.
Here is the link to that Challenge Masters. www.challengemasters.ning.com
It is really a great site....lots of challenges to keep you motivated!!!
This is going to be a date book for next year (2011). This challenge was to do March and since I just started I will have to go back and work on January and February to catch up. :)
The book has some envelopes to add receipts, notes, lists, etc. in.
For this I used an ink pad and a sponge and an ink pad to add a touch of green to the background. I attached some patterned paper to the bottom corners to create pockets after I inked the edges. I cut out some shamrocks and cute little kiddos with shamrocks from the A Child's Year cartridge and I inked them up to add a little dimension. I used some Smooch to the shamrocks in the childrens hands to pop them out a little and I used a Souflee pen to bring out the lines in the leaves. I used pop dots to pop up some of the shamrocks (gotta love dimension) :)
Ok.....for the first item I am going to add to my giveaway.....I love these little tools.

More projects for this weeks challenges at Challenge Masters
Here is a layout I made for my daughter. She just jumped on her bike last week and started riding it...without training wheels! Way to go Alayna!!!! I just need to print out the picture and add some journaling to the tag (hidden under the cloud...just pull it up for the journaling.)
I used the new Just Because cards for this entire layout. It is such a fun cartridge with lots of hidden cuts that can be used for so much more than just a card!!!
Here is a card I threw toghether quick for the use your stash challenge.
I hope to get the rest of this weeks challenge done tomorrow!
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Sara

Challenge Masters Altered challenge
Hello all. I have been itching to get some challenges done and I am glad to be back! It is a new month of challenges over at Challenge Masters and this is one I have been wanting to do.
The challenge is to alter a tin can and you must add flowers.
I really like how this turned out. I used modge podge to protect the paper from whatever I decide to fill this little tin with when the kisses are gone. I also used modge podge to adhere the red twine around the tin.
Thank for looking :)
Hugs,
Sara
