Hello everyone. Well...we are finally settling into a routine and I am hoping to be able to post fun projects more often! Hopefully a couple of times a week at the least.
Today I have a cute little mini album that I am going to fill with photos from my daughters year at preschool. My baby just turned 4 last week and she now goes to preschool 3 mornings a week. I will be adding more embellishments when I add photos....but at least I have the album done and ready to add the photos and finishing touches as we go through the year!
Check out more mini albums at our blog: Cricut Mini Albums
For this project I used Heidi Grace papers from the We are Family line and the cartridges Learning Curve and Plantin Schoolbook. (If you don't have those cartridges you could easily use George to recreate some of the details). I also used Home Decor for the cute little bird that happens to match the bird in the papers quite well. :)
I have a .gypsy file for you to create this little backpack. Please leave a comment if you grab my file and I would love to see your project!!!!

First project for Cricut Mini Albums Design Team
Hello all! Sorry I have been MIA....I have been quite busy. I am looking forward to my current job ending next week. Although I only have a couple of weeks "off" and then we are off to our summer job. Traveling carnies :)
A lot has gone on since I last posted. (I will be posting a winner of my blog candy give away today!) I am excited to announce that I am a new member of the Cricut Mini Albums design team! Come check it out! Here is the project I created for the first challenge (designers choice). I wanted to create a mini album for my Demo Army training trip to Chicago so here is what I came up with. (It is a little less detailed then I wanted it to be but I was short on time this week and I needed to get it done). I picked up some of the supplies from the scrapbook store that a huge group of ladies (32 to be exact....squeezed into a 30 person limo :) ). We went to Windy City Scrapbooking and shopped. I picked up the luggage tag and some of the 3d stickers (yes....I did buy some stickers....I NEVER buy stickers....but I wanted something to quickly throw together a cute little momento of my fun vacation/training).
I used the cricut cartridge Plantin schoolbook to create the Chicago word book including the City background.
OK...now for the winner of my fun blog candy....................................
Summer Braxton! (contact me with your address Summer and I will get a package of sweet scrappin' goodness out to you!) Thank you to everyone for the lovely comments! Keep coming back....I plan on posting more projects soon!

I finally have a post for you!
Here is a gypsy file I have been working on for someone. I finished in with two different versions. The first I did with George. It is ok, but the track is a bit bumpy (still needs some work :) ). The second version, I happpened upon a shape in Wild Card that worked perectly for a roller coaster, so I made this version with Wild Card. I like this one better personally, but if you don't have Wild Card the fist version works ;)
Gypsy files - Please leave a comment if you like the file! I LOVE comments!!!!! (click on the name to go to the download....please do not share the cut files. Please send others to my blog to retrieve the files. Thank you!):
Roller Coaster with George(Plantin Schoolbook, George and Basic Shapes)
Roller Coaster with Wild Card (Plantin Schoolbook, George and Basic Shapes, Wild Card)
Here is a layout I made with the Wild Card file:
I really like how this layout looks in RL, but now that I have uploaded it and view it on the computer it really looks plain. Oh well......sometimes some "white" space (in this case black space LOL) is a good thing! I created paper to match the patterned paper or this layout. I used a brayer and 3 shades of ink to create the paper used for the photo mats.

Sorry about the photo quality of the next photo. I am not sure why this photo came out so bad. I took it at the same time in the same place? It must be the white journaling block.
