Some .cut files to share

Well....I am home sick today.  I am on my 3rd day of the lovely H1N1 flu and I tried to go to work this morning but I just didn't have enough energy to take care of the kids and I barely have a voice.  So, I am home with my sick 7 year old and we are hanging out in the living room watching tv and I am playing with my DS.  I think we will be taking a nap soon too!  :)

Anyway....I came up with a couple of .cut files to share.

First...a simple graveyard border  I used PPDU for this file.  There are two pages in this file (that is why the image looks doubled).  Cut the first layer in black and the shadow layer in gray go give a shadow effect.
Download the file here: http://www.mediafire.com/?0u02nyd3mwy

Here is another graveyard without a tree and it is a bit smaller:

The second file is a tic tac box holder with a snowman on the front.  Someone on the cricut message board was asking someone to come up with something like this so I decided to try my hand at it.  I used GBS and PDDU for this file.  There are 5 pages in this file (one page for each element so you can change your paper color).  He is kind of close to the edge so I might have to move him.  If I feel better this afternoon I will get up and try to cut this out.  I think it is going to be very cute!  Can't wait to try it.
You can download the tic tac box holder here: http://www.mediafire.com/?0u02nyd3mwy

Here is a "beer" bottle someone was looking for over on the Cricut MB: http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=5624c9ba3503eef35bf1f12f1ff3f30ae04e75f6e8ebb871

Welcome! Challenge #1 ~ YOU'VE BEEN BOO-ED!

Hello and welcome to the Just Buggin' blog! What is Just Buggin'? Well...it is a mixture of my playing around with my most favorite crafting tool ever (Of which my husband refers to as "the love of my life." The poor man....he is so neglected! LOL ).  We will have challenges, videos, tutorials, fun tips and ideas, and whatever else sounds like fun to share.  In general...I am sharing my love of the cricut to hopefully help you and inspire you to explore, love and use your cricut more often! Who doesn't want to get their money out of this awesome machine?

So....without further ado....onto the first challenge.

With Halloween coming up we need to use up our stash of Halloween paper and embellies right? So....let's share the "BOO"tiful supplies we have collected with our neighbors and......

SHARE A HALLOWEEN BOO!

Due date - October  24th

How does this work? I'm glad you asked.

First you create a cute little "Boo" Basket and fill it up with goodies. You also need to add a note to the basket that tells how to pass on the boo and a "Boo" sign they can hang up on their window or door that says "We've been BOO-ed".

Then you sneak up to your neighbors house and leave it at their door. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GET CAUGHT!

Make sure you remember to take a photo of your "BOO" Basket and post it here with Mr. Linky so we can all see it! (see below)

Here are a few websites you can print off some cute poems and ghosts.

I am going to "BOO" my neighbor, my boss, and the kids will help me "BOO" their grandparents and their Aunt.

I used the Tags Bags Boxes and More cart to make the little basket and I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cart to make the bat and the ghost. I have to finish making the rest of our "BOO" baskets and then make some goodies to fill them with. I will post pics with our finished projects when we are done.

Here is mine:

The poem that I used and pasted on the tag behind the bat(found at the family crafts site above)

The air is cool, the season fall,
Soon Halloween will come to all.
Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore...
Tricky witches at your door.
The spooks are after things to do,
In fact a spook brought this "Boo" to you!
The excitement comes when friends like you,
Copy this note and make it two.
We'll all have smiles upon our faces,
No one will know who "BOO"ed who's places!
Just two short days to work your spell,
Keep it secret, hide it well.
Please join the fun, the seasons here .
Just spread these "BOO's" and Halloween cheer.

The directions I added to the "BOO" Basket:

You have been BOOED! Please keep it going by following these directions:
1.Enjoy your treat
2.Place the BOO sign on your front door or visible in a window
3.Within 2 days, make 2 copies of this note, make 2 treats & 2 BOO signs
4.Secretly deliver to 2 neighbors/friends without a BOO.
5.Keep an eye on nearby front doors to see how far and fast it spreads by Halloween.
